ALLUVIAL is inspired by the spring and the arrival of rainy season in Vietnam. In spring I am used to fresh and blooming nature in Europe but here in Asia its the change to rainy season - this scarf is inspired by both, the blooming awakening nature of Estonia and stormy and rainy Vietnam. Colors vary from orange, bright green to gray and black.

SAKURA is inspired by beautiful spring in Asia. Sakura - or cherry blossoms - are the national flowers of Japan. Sakura represents a time of renewal and optimism. The pops of pink mark the ending of winter and signify the beginning of spring. Sakura have very quick blooming season, cherry blossoms also symbolize the transience of life, a major theme in Buddhism. With this scarf I capture the tender and sweet beauty of cherry blossoms. Colors vary from cold darker pink to light shades of pink to gray and black. Every scarf is painted one by one using Shibori technique (an ancient Japanese dye-art), which makes every item the only version of itself. Not only the water-based colors applied on it does not destroy the original softness but also enhances the beauty in the most unique and traditional way.
